Aged for 20 months in predominately French oak, this medium bodied and tannin red, is one of Harwood's most versatile single varietal reds. An inviting nose of cherry, plum, cloves and even olive hints at what is yet to come. This red has great acidity that provides a wonderful freshness that is accompanied by silky tannins and a long finish. The oak is well integrated into a palate of red fruit, hints of sweet spice and slight earthy note.
Always a favourite at Harwood, our Merlot can be paired with pasta, pizza, barbecues, grilled steaks, and mushrooms. Or you can just enjoy a glass of this smooth red on its own.
