Being one of our more premium wines on the shelf, the winemaker was aiming for power and structure. This blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Showcases the complexity that a blend can produce, while seeming still integrated. Barrel aged in predominately French oak for 18 months, the blend displays a stronger presence of oak and tons of complexity.
A nose of black currant, blackberry, plum, cherry, smoke and spice from the oak. On the palate, there is a combination of fresh fruit with smokey and spicy oak. A dry red with medium acidity and a long finish.
Bottle aged for a year prior to release, you can enjoy this wine now or allow it age longer. Pair it with beef, tomato sauces, chocolate or old cheddars.
