Our Chardonnay is labelled 'Sur Lie'. This translates from French to 'On the Lees'.
Lees are deposits of residual yeast. These are continuously stirred in to the wine as it ages and contribute to the finished complexity.
Lemon-lime citrus, green apple and a crisp minerality on the nose. The palate offers notes of vanilla, green apple and honeydew melon. Balanced acidity and a lingering buttery finish.
Aged in French and Canadian oak.
Serve slightly chilled with roasted turkey, Alfredo based pasta dishes or creamy soups. Also nice with soft, nutty cheeses like Gruyére.
